Initial Consultation & Proposal
Before the process starts the Initial Consultation & Proposal stage commences with a meeting at your home or the project site, allowing us to thoroughly discuss the upcoming project and truly understand the full extent of your brief. We are then able to put together a unique proposal for our services, based on our discussions and specific to your requirements.

Preparation
Once our proposal has been agreed and formalised, the Preparation stage starts the project and includes the creation of a set of Existing Drawings, usually through our own measured survey, resulting in an accurate set of drawings of your home or the site from which we can start to base our proposed designs.

Concept Design
Based on your brief, the Concept Design stage focusses on the initial designs, exploring multiple options for your consideration. Quite possibly the most important step, this stage gives us the opportunity to work through any and all aspirations you might have, ensuring we move forward with the best solution that meets your needs.

Developed Design
By further developing you chosen concept design, the Developed Design stage progresses the drawings until we reach a design that you are completely happy with. We then put together all the necessary drawings and documents for a planning application, having discussed with you the various options available and agreeing upon the best planning strategy.

Technical Design
Following planning approval the Technical Design stage progresses the drawings into a highly detailed version, specifying the materials and construction technique for your project, ready for submission to Building Control and for Construction use. At this point, as an optional service, we can also produce a written specification to accompany the drawings, which provides additional detail to the contractor.

Construction
To start the Construction Stage we undertake a formal tender process, seeking quotes from trusted local contractors whom we have worked with before and are happy to recommend. Once a contractor has been chosen, we then take on our role as contract administrator, undertaking weekly inspections and certifying the works, adding reassurance that your vision is being correctly realised.

Post-Construction
As construction ends, the Post-Construction stage continues the contract administrator role, including final assessments and snagging reviews, ultimately leading to project sign-off and you being able to enjoy the final results of your project.
